Hello together I would like to upgrade my PC. This is my current system: CPU i5 6400 OC3.2 GHz Motherboard: Asus Z170-A Graphics card: GTX 1060 6GB RAM: Kingston 2x8 GB 2133MHz SSD: Samsung Evo 970 M.2 250 GB HDD: WD Blue 2TB . I have thought about the following, I would change the mainboard, RAM and CPU. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x Mainboard: Asus B450 F RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz. Now my question is this an upgrade worthwhile for gaming and multimedia, or should I rather wait for the Ryzen 3000s? Thanks for the answer in advance

I would first wait for the new Ryzen series. Your system is not that old. An update of the components mentioned would give you a good performance boost, but in my opinion nothing earth-shattering in real-life applications.

Stockerivo. If you need or want something new, do it now. For PC components, you can wait forever. The manufacturers don't sleep. And with Ryzen 3000 series we don't know what the performance will be. It could be that it has "only" 10 or 20% more power!? Ryzen 3000 release is around 3Q 2019 and until they sell it takes time. Then come the new Intel etc... it can take time. You can always wait.

Greetings...
