Question about Intel Core i5-9600K
Hello together Does the CPU also fit on the MSI Z170A Gaming M7 (LGA 1151, Intel Z170, ATX)? Or would I have to buy a new one? I currently have the I5-6600k installed and use the PC mainly for gaming. Is there a big difference? GPU is a gtx 1080. Would the change make a big difference? Possibly the GPU will also be changed. Thanks for your help
This CPU is not compatible with your mainboard. At least a 300 chipset is required, e.g. Z390 or Z370 with BIOS update. Please refer to the CPU compatibility list on the manufacturer's page of the mainboard.
It basically depends on the games. At higher resolutions, the CPU is also less of a factor. In my opinion, it is more a question of whether the few FPS (max. 10%) are worth it to you or not.
