Hello I am looking for a new headset for the PS4. My Triton is giving up the ghost. The GSP600 seems interesting to me. I'm just wondering where I connect it? Does the jack have to go into the dual shockpad? With the Triton I go to the USB with the chat and the sound comes through the optical output. I was also wondering which volume can be adjusted directly on the headset. The chat volume or the game volume or possibly both :)? 7.1 to stereo, big difference?

The difference between stereo and 7.1 depends heavily on the headset and the number of speakers on the left and right. However, I couldn't notice any significant difference between my buddy's headset and my stereo one. The jack goes directly into the Dualshockpad exactly - nothing else in addition. Regarding volume regulation; not sure anymore - as far as I remember there is only 1 regulator. Can't say exactly anymore as I passed the headset on as it gave me too much pressure on the head from above. The wearing comfort is not optimal (at least for me) due to the folding & retracting function of the earcups. After some further research, I decided on this one and am very satisfied --> HyperX Cloud Alpha Pro Gaming Headset - hope this helps you.
