My setup was not with a Canon camcorder, but with a VHS video recorder (Scart => 3 Cinch plugs),
but it should be comparable in principle.
And according to Elgato, the software should also run under Windows 10, see under "System Requirements" => https://www.elgato.com/en/video-capture
So yes, in my opinion it should work!

No idea ! I have only transferred films from VHS tapes to the iMac with the elgato without any problems. I am satisfied. Good luck !
