Hello Unfortunately, the docking station does not work with my Asus Vivobook S14 (2015/2016). The Vivobook has a USB C port. However, not a video-capable one. However, it does have USB 3.1. I specially ordered an adapter from Satechi (USB C male). Anyway, I'm biting my teeth and finally want to use my new home office. 2 monitors, keyboard & mouse via USB and headset are connected to the docking station. Can you please help me?

I assume that the dock is powered by the supplied power supply.
My experience is limited to a connection of HP laptops.
Therefore, my recommendation is to first update the firmware of the dock (HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 firmware installer - sp111940.exe).
To the best of my knowledge, the dock has a permanently attached cable with a USB-C connector "in the front" from the base at the bottom, this connector can do both (USB Type-C Thunderbolt and USB Type-C SuperSpeed) and this is the cable for the host system (laptop).
According to the manual (c06144915) starting on page 10, it is explained that VGA cannot be connected at the same time with DP/USB-C SS/T. Therefore, start with only one monitor (VGA or DP/USB-C).
Let us know if and how you got on.

As far as I know, the device must have Thunderbolt to be able to operate external monitors via the docking station. Thunderbolt looks like USB-C, but also has a small lightning bolt symbol printed right next to the connector (like on the docking station plug). If the lightning bolt is missing, it is almost certainly only UBS-C and probably only external keyboard, mouse and other USB devices are supported. This is not only about the technical form of the connector, Thunderbolt has other chips built in. For a device from 2016, Thunderbolt support tends to be rather unusual.
