Difficult to say, I've had mine for a few months, but in any case it won't have the latest BIOS installed. An update is strongly recommended, as new versions are released regularly.
But you can update without any problems, even without the CPU installed and the screen connected (I've done this a few times without any problems).

1. load BIOS on memory stick, rename file
2. plug in specific USB port
3. press BIOS FLBK button (the usb ports have a small black button)
4. LED BLINKS for several minutes during installation, when finished LED lights up permanently
5. process is successfully completed when the LED lights up permanently
