Hi Community! I'm thinking about using the headset in the office as a business headset. The sleep mode plays an important role for me. Does the headset switch itself off after a certain period of inactivity? If so, can I switch it off (without software)? I don't want to have to switch the headset on before every call. And does the battery last longer than stated if I don't need the headset to be active (no music / no phone call)? Many thanks!

Helpful answer

A few points:
- I'm using it for video conferencing extensively in business setting, overall I'm happy with it
- it's on the heavier side, good quality build with stronger "passive" external noise isolation
- works fine both with Windows and Linux with no extra software. There is a nasty issue where the volume knob on the left "cup" randomly stops controlling the OS sound volume level and the headset gets stuck on maximum volume after each power on unless manually adjusted. Deleting device in Device Manager in Windows and re-inserting the USB dongle fixes the problem for both Win/Linux. I have to deal with it maybe every other month.
- for me battery life has been amazing. Sometimes I forget I actually have to charge it at all. I go for weeks between charges.
- headset does turn off completely after 15m of audio signal absence with the "Power off" voice announcement. I don't think it's controllable without the software or at all. But I've also seen complaints that automatic power-off doesn't work for some users.
- when headset is active, there is a bit of audible static. After 15s of no audio, headset switches into what I assume is energy-saving mode with a bit of an audible click. Static then disappears or becomes largely not noticeable. When audio signal resumes, the headset picks it up with a bit of a click again, but almost instantaneously.

Hello,
The headset's inactivity time can be set using the easy-to-use Synapse software. I sometimes use it for days on end + evenings and I only recharge it once or twice a month.
I wear glasses and, unlike the other commentator, I wear the headphones all day with optimum comfort. However, I had to send my headset back once because the microphone was moving away and not repositioning itself in front of my mouth correctly. This problem was solved by changing the headset. But I'm going to have to call the after-sales service again because my headset disconnects by itself or interferes when I'm close to the PC.
I have doubts about its reliability.

Hey, so let's go through this. The sound is solid which is why it is often seen in the esports scene. I won't go into details but I can say with 100% conviction that this headset is really good. I hate to say it but I would recommend the Razer Synapse programme. You can adjust everything you can imagine, like the pencil: microphone quality, volume (sensitivity), bass, you can have voices emphasised again and above all you can also set it so that you hear your own voice. Sounds strange at first, but it's pretty cool because then you know how you sound to others and, above all, you can still hear what's going on around you.
Conclusion: The headset is a very solid piece from Razer, but the customisation is what makes it cool and gets the most out of your headset. I don't know how you feel about it, but when you buy such an expensive headset you want to get something for it and for me it was the Razer Synapse software. If you're not considering it, maybe you should look for other headphones that give you maximum performance without the software. Sounds duper stupid but ChatGPT really helped me with my choice back then, maybe you can give it a try ;)

Hello
I wear glasses and don't find them very comfortable, especially during long sessions. A friend of mine uses the Poly quest yoyager 2 pro headset for his pro calls and he wouldn't change for anything in the world.
