Hi, I'm looking for speakers to connect to an Alienware screen running a ps5. Is the USB connection enough to transmit sound? There are no 3.5 mm jacks or optical sockets on my equipment... Thanks for your reply.

Helpful answer
The USB connection alone is not sufficient to transmit sound to the Edifier G2000 speakers, as these speakers require an audio input to function properly. Connection options available for the Edifier G2000 include Bluetooth, USB (for sound card only) and 3.5mm jack. Since your Alienware display and PS5 don't have these outputs, you'll need to find another way to transmit sound, such as using an adapter or intermediate device that converts the audio signal into a form compatible with the speaker inputs.

You could consider using an HDMI to 3.5mm jack adapter or an audio decoder that can take the audio outputs from your screen and console, and pass them to the speakers via the 3.5mm jack.

Would the Bluetooth connection work with the PS5? If not do you have any advice on a compatible white sound bar on its stands? Thanks again
