How extreme is the shading from the centre to the edges? According to the Elitescreen data sheet, this CineGrey 5D screen has 1.4 gain in the centre and only half of 0.7 gain at an angle of 40 degrees. With a screen width of 3m (135" diagonal) I am sitting quite close at 2.8m, so my viewing angle at the edge is already 40 degrees. Do I then constantly see vignetting? Or how annoying is that when you sit so close to the screen?

More important than the sitting distance is the projection distance. For me, this is 6.5 m, sitting distance is 6 m and vignetting is not noticeable. I have just moved to your 2.8 m, the vignetting is slightly noticeable, but in my opinion not disturbing - the size of the screen (135") bothers me more ;-).
Conclusion: look for a sufficiently large projection distance (manufacturer recommends a factor of 1.5 to the diagonal), the seat distance is then less important.
