I am looking for a Logitech trackball that connects to a modern laptop via Bluetooth without having to have the receiver plugged into the USB port (since I only have one USB port, I then always have to take out the receiver when using a USB stick and then work with the tochpad). Does anyone know if this mouse offers this function? Many thanks and hG Marco

Yes this trackball can be connected either directly with Bluetooth or with the supplied USB dongle. However, the thumb can be overloaded when using a thumb trackball, which can then also lead to inflammation. A better solution would be a trackball that is attached in the middle and can be operated with two fingers, for example. These are available from Kensington, for example, and this model could also be connected via Bluetooth:
