I am switching my telephone connection from Swisscom ISDN to IP, or my cable internet provider Qickline with only one number. My Quickline cable modem without WLAN only has an analogue output (my WLAN router is connected to the modem). Can I use the DX800a on the analogue port of the modem? Does this have any disadvantages compared to a direct iP connection? Can I also connect an analogue door intercom to the analogue fax port of the DX800? (until now this was connected to my GIgast 4170isdn).

To my knowledge, only telephones with an analogue connection can be used when connecting Quickline. Quickline does not provide any information on the use of SIP terminals.

I would use the DX800A as an IP phone. The DX800A offers more functionality via the Ethernet connection, such as address book synchronisation with PC or Mac and the display of the caller's name through an automatic tel.search.ch search. The telephone could therefore be connected directly to an Ethernet port of the WLAN router or modem. (The modem might also be a router with several connections).
A door intercom cannot be connected. If you want to address a door intercom, it makes sense to connect a Fritzbox with telephony functionality in between. Then "internal telephoning" is possible.
