I bought the dongle for an amplifier that supports Bluetooth with a dongle. Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows interface as described in the instructions - does the BT dongle only work on Windows PCs?

You can look under your Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone to see if it displays it. According to the manufacturer, the dongle is designed for Windows. Whether it also works on other devices is not described in detail, but well.
