I bought the part, so far it's OK, but now I want to connect it to the car radio, but I only have USB connections, so I bought a USB C to USB adapter and connected it. Iphone does not charge, radio reports unknown accessory. Then I connected the Macbook with USB C directly to the Macbook, which works. Then I connected the card reader with various connections to the Macbook and connected the Magsafe to the USB C interface and it doesn't work... so it looks like the magsafe only works with apple components. Does anyone know this problem? I haven't found an usb c to usb adapter from apple :( I bought a crappy adapter but the fact that it doesn't work with the SD etc card reader on the macbook pro makes me a bit stubborn...
