i bought this product and am wondering if i can just plug in hard drives? do i need to install drivers? theoretically hot plug is supported does anyone have any experience? and how can I fix the card to the board without the bezel (don't use a case)?

Yes, you can simply plug it in and it does not need any drivers.
Attention: the more disks you connect, the less speed you have because it is only a multiplier and not a "real" expansion card. Max. 3-4 disks on one side should still bring the maximum.

I have never used a hot plug.
