I currently have an asus rog strix z490 e gaming motherboard with a ssd samsung 860 evo 1tb and would like to add a second ssd with a bit more performance and capacity.
Not having an 11th gen processor, is there a more powerful ssd than this one in pcie 3.0 and also compatible?
A pcie 4.0 would be useless as I understand 😵‍💫😅

I bought this for a gaming laptop because of space. Works great. You probably will not notice the difference apart from a second or two on boot but at the moment there is a 4 CHF difference between the 870 2TB and the 870 EVO plus so go for the M2
