I have 2 of these screens and am looking for a simple solution with USB-C. I alternately use my MacBook Pro with M1 (private) and an XP notebook (home office). What is the easiest way to connect the monitors so that I only connect the USB-C cable to the respective laptop. And do I actually need a special docking station and display link software for the Mac??? And can both monitors be connected to the power supply with only 1 power cable or do they both need separate power cables?
You can connect both monitors with each other via DP cable (daisy chain). As far as I know, the connection to the respective device (laptop, PC) must then also be made via DP, which is also my current setup. Possibly an adapter could be a remedy.
Here is an excerpt from the Lenovo instruction manual:
"Connect one end of the DP cable to the DP input on the back of another monitor and the other end to the DP output (daisy chain) on the monitor".
Hope this helps.
They both work with the USB C.
