I have a Bose qc35. These are great headphones. However, the sound is so flat that it sounds kind of boring after a while. How do they compare to the Bose qc35? Does anyone have any experience?

Helpful answer

I will stay with QC35. I can spice it up a bit with EQ.

In my opinion, the Sennheiser really does offer unrivalled (as of June 17) sound quality. In direct comparison with the QC35, the noise cancelling stinks, but well...it depends on whether you want to buy it for the sound or the NC.

With the Qc35, the noise-canceling is a tad better. In terms of sound, however, the Sennheiser is orders of magnitude better than all the Bose headphones I have tried. It has a slight bass boost, but it's not annoying. The sound is very "crisp", i.e. the dynamics are very good. The detail resolution is also good. The treble could be improved, but nothing that would stop me from buying it.

Definitely better than the QC35, unless you want maximum noise cancelling.
