I have a Dell Latitude 7410 and would like to install a faster and larger SSD. Specs: M.2 2280, PCIe x4 NVMe, Class 40 SSD / PCIe x4 NVMe.3.0 up to 1 TB Can I then use this EVO Plus? I am very unsure because 3.0, 4.0 etc.

Hello,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe™ M.2 SSD - 1 TB MZ-V7S1T0BW requires an M.2 (2280) slot and PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes and is backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0. Please note, however, that the full performance of the Samsung 970 EVO SSD can only be used with an M2 slot via PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes.
Please check whether the connections of the mainboard of your Dell Latitude 7410 match those of the 970 EVO SSD. If in doubt, contact your device manufacturer.
Best regards from Schwalbach

The SSD PCI interface is backwards compatible. You won't have the full performance of the SSD, but it will work as long as the format of the SSD slot and the board match (2280).
