Question about Logitech Lift for Business

I have a question about the scroll wheel. With my lift mouse, I can't tell the difference between "slow" and "fast" scrolling. In other words, I can't scroll down a few pages at a time with a quick movement of the scroll wheel like I could with my previous mouse, as the "ratchet" of the scroll wheel always remains active. As a rule, it only scrolls about 50 lines. If I make an extreme effort, it can sometimes be 250 lines, but then it is anything but ergonomic. Is this normal? Or is my new lift mouse defective? The Logitech website says so: "LIFT features SmartWheel scrolling that delivers precision or speed the moment you need it. The magnetic wheel lets you seamlessly switch between two scrolling styles with the flick of your finger. Line-by-line (ratchet) scroll - Get line-by-line precision when you need to focus on the details. Scroll slowly, you will feel each step on the wheel. Ideal for reading or precise navigation of items and lists. Speed (inertia) scroll - scroll faster for a less-friction spinning. It will let you scroll faster and with less effort through long documents and web pages."

Helpful answer

The "adaptive scrolling" function mentioned by Logitech Marketing simply does not exist. The mouse scrolls a maximum of 150 lines at a time.
The advice to switch scrolling to "screen page" is not practical because I also need to be able to scroll line by line.

If you press the mouse wheel, the cursor turns into a double arrow (one pointing upwards and one pointing downwards). Now move the whole mouse in the direction in which you want to scroll. And the scroll moves through the document at lightning speed.

Hello - this is the case, it is not possible to scroll very quickly with the mouse wheel (I have also noticed this). But you can change the mode in the mouse settings (gear wheel/mouse) (at "Turn mouse wheel to scroll") from several lines at once to one screen page at a time. This may not allow you to scroll through the document at lightning speed, but it is still a lot faster. I myself switch between these two modes from time to time....
