I have a Sennheiser 363D, 7.1. Do I have the full 7.1 quality with the sound card? Is the difference audible compared to On Board.

The difference between onboard and this card is huge. I have a pretty good on-board chip on my Asus Z170 ProGaming - and the difference between the sound card and the on-board is massive. In terms of volume alone, the sound card has more power.
Since there is no 7.1 headset with 8 drivers and the 363 d is "only" a 2.0/2.1 that simulates 7.1 surround sound, this card is compatible without further ado because 5.1 can be connected natively, i.e. 3x jack.
