Question about Verbatim Slimline

I have been looking for a Bluray player for my notebook for some time. No interest in backups, for that there are probably external SSDs or HDs, no interest in burners or anything else, just playing movies. The search is complicated, sometimes only USB 2.0, sometimes 2 cables are needed for the power supply, you even have to get an extra B/W to be able to enjoy the film, sometimes a super thick device, thicker even than the notebook itself! (I exaggerate the latter a little). I mean, nowadays you can buy a Bluray player for your TV for a small amount of money and that's it. Yes, if you have one, otherwise the notebook is the only alternative. Pathetic. All I wanted to do was buy the device, plug it in, put the disc in and enjoy the film. Far from it. Unfortunately.

Thank you for your experience report. Unfortunately, Blu-Ray is becoming rarer and rarer and the devices are also being discarded. However, I can recommend this Blu-Ray adapter: LG BP55EB40 (Blu-ray)

According to customer reviews, it is Plug & Play.
