Question about Hisense Laser TV PL2 80"-150"

I have been using a PL2 with an EliteScreens screen with a 1 cm frame for a few days now. In complete darkness, there is a halo around the frame, even if the projector is set up so that the outer edge of the image does not go over the frame (I have not applied any image correction, so the halo cannot be due to digital image correction). Is it normal for a halo to appear? The square of the emitted light is slightly larger than the image itself, which is why there is a halo. It would be great if another PL2 owner could tell me whether this is also the case for him.

We would otherwise recommend that you start a discussion about this. Experience has shown that more customers reply there than to a single question.

The halo also appears on my Hisense PL2. I suspect there is no other technical solution. You will always have a certain amount of "overexposure", or whatever you call it, towards the top. There is a discussion about this on reddit under "Unwanted "second light frame" around the screen on the LG HU915QE laser TV". I fitted my screen myself, as the specialist dealer wouldn't have been able to give me an appointment until a few months before Christmas because of all the work. Perhaps the dealer could have minimised the halo by aligning the projector and screen more optimally. If I ever get bored or annoyed again, I might try again to harmonise the projector and screen.

Were you able to solve the problem? I have the same effect with my Hisense M2 Pro.
