I have connected a PC lamp from BenQ to the USB A port. A card reader for the switch on the USB C port. When I switch the lamp off or on, the thing generates a pulse that tells the card slot that I have inserted a card and the switch starts. Are the ports so strongly influenced by each other?

Yes, that's the whole point. The trim is always distributed accordingly.
