I have had the headset for 1 year now and the sound quality is perfect but in games I can't tell where the steps are coming from and all that can someone help me or is this normal with the headset?

As far as I know, all headphones can simulate surround sound (even my in-ear). Therefore, I assume that it is due to some settings on your side.
