I just bought a 4K card and a 4K monitor. Which connection is better for video editing: this cable (I bought), or DisplayPort (comes with the monitor) ?

It doesn't matter in terms of image quality. You should have the full resolution with both. HDMI can also transmit sound. Displayport cannot. Displayport has sync functions, which are important for gamers. Personally, I would use HDMI for video editing. The most that can happen is that your two devices do not work well together with one or the other connection method. You'll have to try that out for yourself.
