I recently got fibre optics with a corresponding modem. Does this camera work with these requirements or does it need DSL?

DSL is slower than a fibre connection, so it works with a fibre connection.
DSL or fibre only describes the transmission standard from your Internet box to your provider. However, the speed (upload and download) is crucial. But with a fibre-optic connection, this is more than adequate anyway.
