I suppose I can buy this drive and connect it to my notebook ascnhl and then watch purchased blurays or? I still have a lot of Blurays but no longer have a player on my TV.

Yes, it's possible, but it's better to import the Blu-ray content onto the computer and run the film from the computer. It's much smoother and faster
