I would like to buy an Apple Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt cable to connect my two Macs. An iMac (old) with a new generation Mac Book Pro. I am looking for a USB - C to Thunderbolt adapter. Is this the one? I'm confused. Between Thunderbolt 2, 3, 4. I have a Thunderbolt input on the old iMac but it's on the new one that I need an adapter. Can you help me?

Hello,
I bought this adapter with a 0.5m Thunderbolt 2 cable to use my iMac as an external display with my MacBook Air 2022. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use this adapter with a MacBook Air 2022 as an external display. You need to have at most macOS High Sierra.

Hi, this worked for me. I was able to go from a 27" mac thunderbold display to my mac book pro USB-C without a problem. I'm very pleased with this.
