Question about Logitech Unifying receiver

I would like to connect a special keyboard in the office. However, I cannot install an external programme on the computer for data protection reasons. If I understand correctly, I can get around this problem with the Unifying Receiver. Or do I also have to "install" this receiver with an external programme (e.g. from Logitech)? Thanks for the feedback

yes, you need the unifying software from logitech (basically a driver for the receiver). and by the way, it only supports unify compatible keyboards, which are afaik only available from logitech.
If you can't install anything, try a bluetooth keyboard (provided bluetooth can be activated on your pc).

Also works without Logitech software. Simply pair the Unify adapter with the mouse/keyboard on the private computer and then use it with the office computer. I have been doing this for years.
If you buy a Logitech product with a receiver, you can also use it directly without any software because it is already pre-configured by Logitech.
