I would like to know if the system automatically switches the headphone output on the TV when the headphones are switched on. I have a sound bar connected to my TV and I would like the sound to come out of it if the headphones are switched off. And from the headphones if they are on. Is this handled automatically by this product or do I have to unplug the jack every time?
The headphones behave in a 'neutral' way. It transmits what it receives from the TV's headphone output. So if the sound bar is on the same headphone output of the TV, both will transmit simultaneously.
However, at home, the sound bar is on the TV's optical TOS output. This way, both (headphones and soundbar) are independent and can be activated separately, without disconnecting/unplugging the jack.
