I would like to use the board together with a Ryzen 9 5900x. Asus states that at least a version 2607 bios is required. What version does the bios of the board have when I order it in the near future? Can I then use this board without a bios update?

Most of these boards have an old or ancient BIOS version on them, the boards were produced months ago. A 2607 version will most likely NOT be on it. If the board boots with a 5000 CPU, that would not be a problem, just flash the current BIOS and that's it. But if the board doesn't boot, it's more trouble. I have an old 2200G for such cases. Just insert the CPU briefly to update the BIOS. I put the CPU cooler on top of the CPU (without thermal paste and the like), that's enough.
