I ordered the motherboard in November 2020 and it was an old version of the BIOS, but buying it now, I think there is a better chance that the board is directly compatible with the latest Ryzen processors.

Personally, I didn't need to upgrade but a friend of mine who bought the exact same config (5600x+b550-f) did. I think it depends on when the card was produced. In any case, the upgrade can be done simply from a usb stick with the latest BIOS: https://rog.asus.com/ch-fr...
