I'm a bit torn as to which model I'm going to get. Should I pay more attention to the RAM or the size of the hard drive? Is the 16Gb enough for everyday use and a bit of photo editing or should I plan for more reserves? should I plan for more reserves? I would like to be able to use the notebook for at least 7-10 years.

The M4 notebook is used by my wife. 16 GB is more than enough. But of course I don't know what will happen in 7-10 years' time. I myself have a Mac with M2 Pro (weaker than M4 without Pro) and 16 GB. I play Baldur's Gate 3 on it without any problems.
