Yes, you can:
Connection via HDMI (or USB/TB to Displayport) for video.
You can connect the external keyboard and mouse directly to the Macbook (e.g. Bluetooth) or, if you have Logitech and its receiver: attach it to the monitor (USB-A connection) and then connect the monitor to the Macbook via USB-C connection.
For the resolution: if necessary, select a somewhat lower refresh rate such as 60hz ... (via option key :) ).
