Question about Icy Box Enclosure for 4x HDD/SSD,IB-3740-C31
Is it possible to use it to put 4 2.5" sata hard disks and connect them via USB to a Synology nas?

Of course you can connect this product to a USB port, that's its primary role for backups (for example)
You just need a good quality USB C - USB A cable (not easy to find)
The Synology as well as the QNAP have USB3.0 ports (at least one) in order to connect an External HDD and to make backups for example.
Except that by experience, I could not reach more than 18 Mb/s via the USB 3.0 port
This "Box IB-3740-C31" handles backwards compatibility very badly despite what is mentioned in the doc (online)
I had a bad experience with it!
So yes it will connect to a Synology, but at very limited speeds!
