There is no built-in encryption.

@Digitec: Please finally remove the "Security" section under the specifications, where you claim AES encryption with 256 bits. I always waste my time with such false claims and get annoyed. (If software encryption is meant here, this should be clearly distinguished from hardware encryption, after all, any external storage device can be encrypted with appropriate software)
