Is this the new version JBL Xtreme 2 or still the old model? How else can I tell the difference? I can't find any information about the new model on the official site either.

Here you can find the new version, it is also indicated as version 2 www.digitec.ch/de/Search?q=JBL+Xtreme+2

This is still the old model. Version 2 has the manufacturer's number JBLXTREME2BLKEU. You can see the difference in the design. Enclosed is a corresponding photo: i.pinimg.com/originals/3a/39/70/3a397090b4374d25b9a6972a87ea...
