Question about Verbatim Slimline

Most DVD/Blue-Ray drives need 2 USB ports (for power and data). Will the Verbatim work with only one port? Is there no problem with the power supply? Thank you.

It is indeed confusing. On one picture here and on the official Verbatim website there is only one cable and on another picture here there are 2 cables...

It only has one connection. I have never had any problems. But I've also never watched a data-intensive blue-ray film on it.
