My Ironwolf 4 Tb shows 116 sector failure after 5 years in the Synology NAS. Is the WD Red + a good compatible replacement?

Basically yes. I have already used disks from both manufacturers with 60,000 operating hours; but also failures after 4 years.

Yes, that's no problem, there's only room for one disc in the DS116 anyway, so you don't need to pay attention to the recording method (if you have several discs, make sure not to mix discs with CRM and SRM).
