My SSD is only recognised as 1.1TB and not as 2.0TB. I have the EMTEC X250 SSD 2TB. The seller said it should fit. Is the ICY box not compatible with my SSD?

It was due to the Icy Box case. I returned it and decided in favour of the Digitus, it works perfectly.

I have tried the enclosure in a Linox machine and a Windows machine. Both show it as 1TB. Then I partitioned it as GPT and as MBR...still only 1TB

The housing probably has nothing to do with it. Pay attention to the formatting of the disc. What operating system is the device you are connecting the Icy Box to running?
