Question about Apple USB C

Perhaps a slightly awkward question. So that I can use the full capacity of a USB C cable with 100 watts of power, would I also have to have an adapter that can do this?

Of course - the charger must be able to deliver 10OW.

Yes, you need the right power supply (or adapter, as you call it). I buy high-quality power supply units from Anker, but they are admittedly a bit more expensive. But you can also buy a different one. It just has to have a USB-C output and 100 watts of power. (It's best not to buy the cheapest one because they can sometimes get really hot, but it's not a problem if they get lukewarm)
