Have been using the headphones for 2 years now, I don't particularly care nor do I abuse them. The cable holds well even though I've run over it countless times with my office chair. I'm very happy with the sound, the controls on the cups don't do anything because everything except completely too much is too flat. All the way closed is just right for me. I can highly recommend the headphones.
