Salute Together I bought this card for my Fujifilm xh2s. When I film at 4K 50p, whether at 200 or 360 MB/s, it overheats after about 40 to 50 minutes of continuous recording. This card was bought because of the supposed overheating protection for recordings over the total capacity of the card. Does anyone have similar experience, or is my expectation of this card wrong? Thanks for your help. Cheers

Helpful answer

Your demands are quite high, so one or the other card might occasionally go down the drain. Basically, I have been using these cards for over a year and have had no problems with them, no noticeable heating or malfunctions. There may be better cards for high-end requirements, but they cost several times more.
As I said, I am very satisfied with these cards.

I use these cards in my Z9 to record 8K 60fps raw, and never had a single issue with any of the two cards I own. They do tend to get hot, but the other CFExpress cards I have also get hot when recording at these rates/fps. You may want to try and update the firmware of the card though, this may help (https://www.angelbird.com/downloads...).
It may also be an issue with the XH2S not having a good enough heat dissipation system around the cards, it's quite a small body compared to cinema cameras or a Z9. Many small mirrorless systems tend to have overheating issues when recording 4k50/60 for >45-60min unfortunately. This is when a dedicated camera with a better heat control system may come in handy.
