Question about Delock SATA controller PCI-Ex4 - 5x SATA3 internal
Since I don't want to give a rating yet, I'd rather ask for advice here first. The SATA controller was not recognised correctly by the Asus mainboard. I got the message: Please disable the Asus Multicore Enhancement (MCE). Done and done. It says it doesn't have RAID, so I thought I'd plug in the HDD and start. It didn't work, I had to unplug the SATA connector from the card and then it worked. However, the SATA 3 HDD connected to it is now seen as a removable drive, although I wanted the HDD to be fixed in the system. Do I have to install any special software? Windows 11 Pro is really the last straw. By the time a Microsoft OS is up and running properly, there's already the next construction site.
It's probably tricky with Windows 11 Pro, with the increased security measures.
Also, the HDD is not visible in the bios. Neither is the controller.

It's just stupid when you want to safely remove a USB stick and then accidentally click on the HDD.
As long as no BSD comes back, I've already had almost 10 of them, I'll let it be.

Hm, difficult question. I haven't had any problems with recognition on my ASUS (Prime Z690-P) so far. However, I don't run Windows there either.
Are the discs displayed in the BIOS? Maybe you can adjust there whether the discs should be hot swappable.
