Yes, the enclosure should fit. BUT my 2008 iMac has a connector for the temperature sensor on the hard drive. If this is not connected (and I don't think the enclosure has a suitable connection), the fan turns to maximum. You need a tool like Fan Control or SMC Fan Control to control the HDD fan based on the SMART information from the hard drive.

Yes, that should fit. The enclosure is the same size as a SATA 3.5 inch hard drive.
