The audio cable between the landline phone and the headset recognises that a headset is connected = sign on the phone. But you can't hear anything in either direction: no dialling tone, no call. Do I need to configure the headset somehow? Help please!

The model is wireless, so I don't understand the question about the audio cable. The headphones must be connected to the device (phone, PC, etc.) via Bluetooth.
