The following problem Main Bios set on the mainboard PC started about 9 times the PC starts itself until it boots into Windows. Switched off again, power supply also switched off, set to backup bios, first start works without problems, second start bios no longer recognises a Sata SSD and an M.2 SSD so the PC does not boot into Windows.....Set the whole thing back to main bios on the mainboard and start 9 times until Windows boots. Back to s back up bios first start good second two disks missing again.....Bios battery was charged I replaced it anyway same problem. Has anyone had this before or know a solution? PS Bios Updated first on F5 then on F6 always the same problem. For me, either the mainboard or the bios versions are defective...don't see anything else at the moment.
I would be interested in the settings made in the BIOS.
The 9 reboots (if not a defect) can be an indication that one or more settings are causing problems (for example, when overclocking). If only default or safemode values are set in the backup BIOS, it is quite possible that some ports must first be reconfigured before the discs are recognised again. This may be the case if the affected discs are connected to a port that is controlled by a third-party chip.
It would also be interesting to know the entire hardware configuration and which ports are used and how.
Hello folks
I made the same experiences as Burton1224 concerning the Sata and M.2... AND I also had problems with my Voltages... :/ I ordered the board, the M.2 Samsung 970 Evo plus 1tb and a 2080 ti from Gigabyte in February and everything worked great. Yes, the CPU also required more power than normal... 8700k 1.39-1.416 for 5ghz, everything ran smoothly until I did a Bios update to F9... that was on August and from then on it started... I had never had such problems... and for more than 16 years I have not damaged anything, I am also an OC boy and know my limits, besides, this board is promised and advertised a lot for OC. Well, first I lost the M.2 which was expensive (i sent it away for warranty) today i got a telegram that they rejected my warranty claim because the sticker was missing (yes i thought it might help) i wasn't to blame for all that... the parts were already pretty hot in the bios... my gracka was glowing... if i ever managed to get into windows i always kept an eye on the temps... all temps were great! CPU 71 degrees under load, VRM 47 degrees and all others around 35 degrees. after my M.2 I created my 2 SSD's in raid0 again which have been running for years and that's when I checked everything... suddenly I couldn't see the SSD anymore! The board has 2 bios... i switched both back and forth... more than 100 reboots... worked on it for hours... nothing... i even discovered errors in the bios there was a menu where i went in and the language was asian... then out and in again there were suddenly numbers... out and in again there were only brackets...
I hope I get a new one without errors... otherwise I will no longer be a customer of Gigabyte...
sorry was a lot of text :D
Sry another error with backup bios then two m.2 SSDs (960s) are missing and on one is the Windows, not a.2 and a sata.
Again, to be precise, the whole thing only happens when I turn the PC off completely, i.e. the power supply gets no power. I have a power strip that can be switched off so that the monitors and PC do not draw standby power. If I don't switch it off, it doesn't happen with either BIOS.
