It was the same for me. I tried everything possible to turn the microphone up. In the end, you could hear every little thing... That's why I sent it back. But not everyone seems to be like that.

in the case of hyperx, the reason that the levels or boost cannot be set in the windows recording device "driver" is due to the fact that the usb driver from hyperx is "built into" the usb hardware and functions there. tip 1: make sure that (at least with the non-wireless model) the microphone volume is set to maximum/pressed on the controller. Otherwise there is the suggestion of direct connection via jack/splitter 3.5mm and regular win/audio card/mb driver. or if necessary, there are also approaches on the net with adaptation through additional software/plugins. In my case, the upward leveling at the controller was enough for a proper input signal/volume.

Otherwise, check/use the audio settings of the individual applications. Apart from this disadvantage, HyperX headsets, thanks to rebranding, were definitely more balanced and of a higher quality than other "hi-fi", marketing and "gaming" brands.... definitely more balanced and better quality sound-wise.
