Question about Logitech Z625

The only difference between the Z623 and Z625 is that the Z625 also has an optical input. Now I'm wondering if the sound quality is better with an optical instead of a chinch. Is the extra cost worth it? Otherwise, the speakers are identical.

The sound is similar and only gets better with Multiroom or large distances. For a normal living room (20-30m2), this does not play a noticeable role. But it is not disturbing and is ready for future expansion.

One of our customers also sent the following e-mail regarding this question:
"The difference between Optical and Clinch is the transmission method. Optical, digital and Clinch analogue. Logically, optical is the better transmission and the surcharge is justified. In my opinion".
