This graphics card is already overclocked to the best possible level in production, isn't it? What are the gaming apps and afterburner for? For me as a beginner it is not so clear which software and how.

The factory overclocks the graphics cards only minimally to achieve better performance than the reference cards! Applications such as Afterburner are intended for manual overclocking! This way you can get the maximum out of a graphics card! However, extreme caution is advised!
